Project Description

The Dee Why RSL Battery House project is one of the more complex jobs that WED Group has undertaken.

The lighting on the project was a complete Dynalite DALI controlled system which showcases multiple applications, from custom LED strip to lights integrated into timber handrails. The area has been designed completely around viewing sports and has over 50 screens to view all the sports of the world. WED Group were involved in the design of a fully automated roof structure that transforms an indoor area into an open-air beer garden in seconds. The staff can easily operate the roofs via Dynalite touchscreens or an Antumbra panel simply with the touch of a button.

The area consists of a 360-degree bar, a commercial kitchen, numerous seating areas both indoor and out, a games room and a secluded gaming area. All of which were provided with lighting, power, and communications to suit the Clubs requirements.

The communications system is a certified Panduit system and was installed and tested in accordance with Panduit’s strict guidelines for the assurance of a 25-year warranty. A small new communications room was built and fitted out with new communications rack to house the general data and gaming data.

All in all, this project had its challenges which were overcome with smart solutions both onsite and offsite. It has made for a beautifully finished project and an experience that we’re sure the client would feel happy with.
